For over 50 years, ESF has been at the heart of Hong Kong life, providing world-leading teaching and learning to thousands of students in their 22 schools. For parents wishing their children to join the ESF family, all application (kindergarten, primary, secondary) will start on September 1, 2019, and close on September 30, 2019!
For parents wishing their children to enter K1, Years 1 and 7, central application for 2020/21 will start this September. For those who are interested to join K1 (born 2017) or Year 1 (born 2015), they should apply between September 1- 30. For Year 7 (born 2009), the application period will be from September 1 – 23.
The five ESF International Kindergartens, Abacus, Hillside, Tsing Yi, Tung Chung, and Wu Kai Sha. Children start K1 at the age of 3 and will attend for two years. Starting from 2022/23, ESF kindergarten kids joining K1 from August 2020, who can benefit from a mainstream, English medium curriculum, will be guaranteed a Year 1 place at an ESF school.
There is also Admissions of Children with Special Educational Needs, through the Admission and Review Process (ARP), a moderation panel, is convened to receive, assess and make placement recommendations regarding applications for entry to Learning Support (LS) and Jockey Club Sarah Roe School (JCSRS).
If you are planning to enter other year groups, the application can be made at any time during the year. Please refer to the ESF website for immediate vacancies. School zoning applies to ESF primary and secondary schools based on a residential address at the time of application.
