Great for long walks and sandcastles, Nusa Dua Beach is long, wide, sandy, calm, clean, and safe! The waves are low as they break on the reef, and the waters are shallow. It's a great beach in Bali for kids and babies too. Nusa Dua’s popular resorts and hotels have their private beaches equipped with umbrellas and towels. Schedule a family breakfast/ brunch in one of the hotels and enjoy the free access to the beach! Note: beach shoes are essential here because of the seaweed and coral.

A small and quiet, sandy beach located in Pecatu Village on the southwestern tip of Bali, Balangan Beach is perfect for sunset gazing, taking photos, endless strolls, and playing in the sand. Because of strong currents are big waves, swimming is not recommended here. Offering limited small boutique resorts, private villas, and guesthouse bungalows, this is a great choice for families or those searching for a quiet beach holiday.

Welcome to Bali's quieter side. Sanur Beach may not be as manicured as other beaches, but it’s clean and safe for kids, and the waters are shallow. Swimming shoes may be useful as usually there is seaweed at the coastline. Rent a bike and enjoy a ride along the path behind the beach, or choose any of the water sports available. Plenty of warungs, cafes and restaurants and a variety of dining options can be found along the beachfront.

A 5km long, partially clean, and relatively well-maintained sandy beach. Kuta Beach is a magnet for tourists, always full of surfers and sunbathers. The beach is safe for sand play, but not always for swimming since the waves are high at times and the currents strong. Hard Rock Café Bali and Beachwalk Shopping Center are nearby for more fun!

If you want to escape the crowds and hassle of Kuta and Seminyak, Jimbaran Bay is the place to be in Bali with kids. The sandy beach is well maintained, and the water is clear blue. The tides are not high, and there are some good spots for swimming. Perfect for families, couples and individuals who are after a seafood dinner with a stunning sunset view.

Echo Beach offers black sands approximately 35 km northwest of Kuta and Seminyak, in the serene rice field-landscaped region of Canggu. The coast is well maintained and excellent for sunbathing, leisurely strolls, collecting seashells, and playing in the sand. Swimming is not recommended here, as the waves are big and the currents strong. Echo Beach is a great place to chill and enjoy great sunset views along with delicious seafood!

The volcanic sand at Lovina is black, and the beach itself is not as developed as other beaches in the Southern part of the island.
