An All-Inclusive Experience

Club Med Kani is an all-inclusive resort, meaning all meals and drinks (yes, even the alcoholic ones!) are included in your stay. Dining options cater to a variety of tastes, ensuring that even the pickiest eaters in your family will find something they love. A buffet style with rotating live cooking stations is available for breakfast, lunch and dinner at Vehli restaurant. Endless choices including fresh salads and tropical fruits. Highlights were the Chinese station with Char sui and noodles and the local Maldivian tuna cuisine offerings.

Visit the newly-renovated Kandu restaurant with overwater seating, which offers a more relaxed vibe and a la carte menu for late breakfast goers, late lunch or a set menu for dinner. It's prettily set under fairy lights near bar Iru and the after party stage and theater, where you can enjoy evening shows. Be sure to download the Club Med app upon checking in. This will equip you with an easier way to navigate and plan your activities, shows and restaurant opening times.

It wouldn't be a trip to the Maldives without admiring the marine life, and the resort offer snorkeling trips twice a day to more than 14 different spots. You'll be in the company of black tip sharks, vibrant, colorful fish and turtles. You also have the option to arrange additional excursions such as a grey nurse shark snorkeling trip, or motorised watersports including jet skiing and hover boarding for an additional fee. Pick up a Padel racquet and learn a new sport, climb up a high ladder and try the trapeze or laze in the sun sipping cocktails from 10am when the bar opens. You're on holiday and there's something to cater to everyone's holiday style!

Kids and Family 

Club Med Kani has everyone covered for activities and happenings. They provide a comprehensive kids' program catering to various age groups, from infants six months and up to teenagers and adults. There's a soft play kids area perfect for the littlest of travellers (six months and above) and curated activities age specific for the Baby Club. There is a Petite Club for those aged 2-3 years, Mini Club Med for children aged 4-10 years and Teens Club for those aged 11-17.

Expect age relevant activities in the social program during your stay. You can join the kids during the activities too, as there are many family-focused competitions, games and activities. Club Med recognizes that families love to spend quality time together during their holidays. Activities are designed to foster family bonding, including sandcastle building competitions, soccer matches, and dancing and music classes. Those with kids ages 4+ can drop off and pick up from the kids club as and when you like! It might be difficult to wrangle them away from the endless program of fun activities everyday.

Kids can engage in arts and crafts, sports, and even themed parties where they can make new vacation friends. The resort’s emphasis on family fun is evident, and a new Family Oasis center is set to open in 2025, enhancing this family-centric approach. Families traveling with infants are well catered to at Club Med Kani. You'll have access to a dedicated baby corner in the Vehli restaurant equipped with refrigerated baby food, a microwave, and childrens utensils, so you can prepare meals for the little ones anytime. On arrival, families also receive welcome kits with amenities tailored for children.

Workshops, Entertainment and Sustainability

At Club Med Kani, the holiday friendly ambiance elevates your stay. From the moment you step onto the Club Med Kani boat to the resort, the team is there to welcome you with smiles, setting a positive tone for your stay. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is a communal affair, and the atmosphere is lively, with the Club Med team engaging with guests. In the evenings, you'll enjoy a nightly lineup of changing performances featuring talented artists, which adds to the resort's vibrant culture.

Live poetry and wall mural painting workshops were a highlight of the stay, as were excellent musicians jazzing it up on the saxophone, DJs rocking beats at sunset – aperitif hour really sets the mood for a fun evening. An ever changing rotation and line up of workshops, musicians, entertainment really sets Club Med Kani apart.

Another highlight of my stay was the coral propagation program, which provided insights into the formation of coral reefs and the importance of protecting them. This hands-on experience enables guests to contribute to the marine ecosystem while learning about environmental stewardship and the importance of nature conservation.
