An ice skating rink may not be the first thing that comes to your mind when you think of a tropical island but Jumeirah Vittaveli in the Maldives is here to change that notion. Ice Ice Maybe is the first of its kind in the Maldives and with a total area of 170 square meters and a stunning ocean view, all your ice skating dreams are about to come true!
Ice Ice Maybe was inaugurated in March 2019 by Olympic Gold medallist Evgeni Plushenko. Jumeirah Vittaveli believes in sustainability and keeping that in mind, the ice rink has been built in partnership with Glice®, a company that manufactures artificial ice plates. So the ice rink uses no water and zero energy to function. Isn’t that incredible?! Whether you choose to watch from the viewing seats, practice your skating routines, or play ice hockey, you’re sure to have a ball of a time at Ice Ice Maybe!
Ice Ice Maybe has made ice skating on a tropical island a reality!
The rink is open for people and kids of all ages. However, kids below 8 years of age need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Opening Hours from noon-6pm daily. Entry fee is US$75 and includes 2 hours of ice skating, rental of skating & protective gear, a delicious ice cream sundae to enjoy post ice skating as well as a host of giveaways and souvenirs.
