Bvlgari Resort Ranfushi is the Italian jewelry house’s first Maldives resort, opening in 2027 on Raa Atoll, 45 minutes by seaplane from Malé. It’s small (54 villas), design-led, and has a proper kids and teens club.

The name means “Little Gold Island” in Dhivehi, and the details back it up. Bvlgari has stripped a 16-seat seaplane down to eight seats for guest transfers, parked all staff housing on a separate island, and brought in University of Milan scientists to watch the reef. Bookings aren’t open yet.

Rates haven’t been released yet. Going by Bvlgari’s other resorts, expect ultra-luxury pricing in the thousands of US dollars per night before seaplane transfers.
