I like the learning centers because there are so many interesting things to learn. Lastly, I like outside play because I can play with my friends or sometimes do things on my own.
    3. What do you want to be when you grow up? A sky diving ninja.

    ADVICE:

    1. What advice would you give the new kid at your school? I would tell them about all the great activities we do at school and to just have fun. I would of course say hello and show them around.
    2. What’s the best advice a teacher or head ever gave you? I like it when my teachers say ‘well done’ to me when I have done good work or asked good questions. I like that because it makes me want to continue my good work.

    2. What do your friends call you? Friends call me Lucca, but sometimes I get Lucas.
    3. Where is your family from originally? My dad is from Rhode Island, USA, but his family is from Italy. My mom is from Cuba and Puerto Rico. I was born in America.

    ABOUT STAMFORD:

    1. What is the best thing about your school? I love that my school has a big soccer field and many cool classrooms.

    ADVICE:

    1. What advice would you give the new kid at your school? If you don’t have anyone to play with go to Washington Plaza and look for the buddy bench to find a friend and also you can learn a lot if you pay attention.

    ABOUT STAMFORD:

    1. What is the best thing about your school? One of the best things about Stamford is the technology. I love using the iPads to create my digital portfolios. I also like PE because of the swimming and the various units we have throughout the year.
    2. What after school activities do you do and why? My after school activity is swimming because my mom thinks it’s a good sport and it helps teach a life skill, and I enjoy it as well.
    3. Recall the funniest thing that has happened at school in the last year? During Christmas, we decorated my teacher as a Christmas tree and we hung homemade bobbles on her. She made us work together as a class community to do the job. The finished product was great!

    FAVORITE THINGS:

    1. If you could spend all day doing one thing at school, what would it be? I would spend my whole day in art class. I really like my art teacher because she gives us a lot of freedom which really allows us to express ourselves. She gives us great project ideas throughout the year. Right now we are working on masks that represent us, which will then be included in our exhibition.
    2. What are your 3 favorite subjects and why? I like to express myself through Art. Math is fun for me because I like to figure things out, working at my own pace. I like working with classmates on big math problems as well. I really enjoy music class because I like to sing and be a part of different performances and ensembles.
    3. What do you want to be when you grow up? I want to be a Fashion Designer because I like style and design. The school supports me in learning more about this through my Exhibition. I was able to choose fashion as my topic and people’s perspectives about fashion. Right now, I am learning about the different uniforms, which are more comfortable to use in school.

    ADVICE:

    1. What advice would you give the new kid at your school? I would say to find the right group of friends that you share similarities with. I’ve been able to do that here and it makes me less shy and more comfortable.
    2. What’s the best advice a teacher or head ever gave you? Mistakes proves you’re trying! Sometimes I make big mistakes and it shows that I’m trying and I’ve never thought of it that way.
