It’s been a year since the launch of One World International School’s Suntec Campus, and this new campus in the OWIS family of schools has gone from strength to strength. What’s more, the school will be launching Secondary Grade 6 in the new school year in August 2022.

As word has spread among international families about this Early Childhood to Primary campus located in the Central Business District of Singapore, the community of learners has grown to more than 100. From the predicted number of students for the August 2022 school year, it is obvious there are many takers not just for the convenient location of this international school campus, but also the inquiry-based curriculum and values-led education approach.
What’s making OWIS Suntec so popular?
Interesting Inquiry-Based Learning: As a Candidate School for the IB Primary Years Programme (IB PYP), OWIS Suntec encourages students to acquire knowledge and skills through inquiry-based learning. Students engage in their learning through collaborative activities, research, and digital apps. The school will follow the modified Cambridge curriculum in Grade 6.
Warm and Welcoming Community: One World International School is known for its multicultural student body, and the Suntec campus is no different. There are already more than 20 nationalities represented in the community and every learner is welcomed.
CCAs: With its unique location in the Downtown Core area of Singapore, the school has partnered with specialist providers in the vicinity to make the school day even more interesting. Students at OWIS Suntec go to SuperPark once a week for activity and fun, and there are external providers who come to the campus to teach performing arts. A broader CCA offering is being planned in the new school year.
School Outings: With the easing of Covid restrictions, OWIS Suntec students have really been out and about, making the most of the experiential learning opportunities so close to the school. They’ve observed an orchestra practising for a performance and chefs preparing food, explored water filtration at Botanic Gardens, admired the graffiti art in Haji Lane and done their bit for the environment through a beach clean-up at the East Coast Park.
This all-inclusive, diverse school allows children to nurture who they are and what they want to be.
OWIS Suntec is a wonderful option for 3 to 12 years, including children who will go into Secondary Grade 6.
Primary students will learn the basics of coding and other aspects of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), so children can have a foundation in digital literacy and digital citizenship from a young age.
