In celebration of World Manta Day, Singapore Oceanarium is rolling out a limited-time Animal Spotlight programme (September 6–20, 2025) that lets you peek into the fascinating world of manta rays. These graceful giants boast the largest brains of any fish, and now you’ll get to see firsthand how they’re cared for, fed, and studied. From food prep secrets to manta conditioning, this immersive 45-minute tour is perfect for ocean lovers of all ages.

  • Behind-The-Scenes Access – Step into support areas usually closed to the public, including the aquarist lab and food prep rooms.

  • Exclusive Entitlements – Participants receive a lanyard set and a cuddly manta ray plush keychain to take home.

  • Manta Feeding Demonstrations – Watch aquarists hand-feed mantas like Manja, Mako, and Mika with precision target-feeding techniques.

  • Ocean Secrets – Learn about the Oceanarium’s vast 18.2 million litres of seawater sourced around Sentosa and the feeding techniques used for pelagic and bottom-dwelling marine species.

  • Conservation Awareness – Gain insight into manta ray threats, from microplastics in personal care products to the impact of global tourism.

  • Requirements: Ages 4 and above (exceptions for independent walkers under 4). Minors must be supervised (1 adult : 3 children). Covered footwear required. Crutches, strollers, and mobility devices not permitted in support areas.
