If you or your little one are active users on TikTok, you might have heard of the viral Karen’s Diner. Originating in the UK and Australia, it’s all you’d expect of a classic diner restaurant. Except for one thing – the staff here will give you bad service on purpose.
Alongside delicious burger options with names like “Cheesed Off Karen”, hotdogs, milkshakes, and desserts, Karen’s Diner waiters and waitresses will serve up rounds of sarcasm and sassiness. Expect food slammed on your table and remarks to clean up after yourself, all in the name of good fun. Overseas outlets also have an age limit of 14 and above for lunch and 16 and above for dinner, so you might want to leave the little ones at home if you’re planning a visit in the future.
On the plus side, the diner has many photo-worthy spots too. While the diner won’t be open just yet, you can bet there will be large crowds and lots of buzz when they finally open!
While we usually assume that “customer knows best”, Karen’s Diner hilariously teaches us that it’s not always the case.
Diners looking for a novelty experience.
Look out for the official pop-up diner opening in 2023!
