Try out the biscuits and wafers in traditional, antiquated tins that you can buy by weight. One of the old-fashioned candies available is the Ting Ting Jahe, which Indonesians believe is the best ginger candy you’ll find anywhere in the world. It has a smooth, chewy texture, with an excellent spicy taste that lingers after you’ve eaten it, plus it aids digestion and freshens the breath after meals!
