With International Day of the Girl just around the corner (October, 11), a day that aims to highlight and address the needs and challenges girls face while promoting girls’ empowerment and the fulfillment of their human rights!
Bookazine is organizing an exciting event with role models to help your little one find her own path. Come celebrate International Day of the Girl with Bookazine on Sunday, October 20, 2019 from 10am to 12pm at Bookazine Prince’s Building.
Based on the inspirational series Little People, Big Dreams featuring characters from history and how they came to achieve their childhood dreams.
Four talented women will introduce you to some of the amazing people who made history:
10am: Pilot Ruth Murrell about Amelia Earhart and aviation
10:30am: Author Sarah Brennan about Agatha Christie and writing
11am: Environmental Scientist and Economist Janice Lao about Marie Curie and science
11:30am: Designer Riya Chandiramani about Frida Kahlo and art
A large selection of empowering books will be displayed during the event. From The Rebel Girls stories to Kate Pankhurst’s Fantastically Great Women series and of course the Little People, Big Dreams collection there is a book for everyone.
