Alice Pizza: Hong Kong’s First Roman Teglia Pizza Franchise Set To Open In Wan Chai

Popular Franchise Hailed The Best In Rome Comes To Hong Kong!

Alice Pizza, the renowned Roman teglia pizza brand, is set to open its first franchise in Hong Kong on Tuesday, September 12. The restaurant is known for its authentic Roman pan pizza, which boasts a thin, light, and crispy texture. Originally enjoyed as street food by busy customers, the freshly baked pizzas at Alice Pizza Hong Kong will be cut according to individual preferences for size and quantity, and sold by weight. This convenient ‘al taglio’ style of pizza originated in Rome and has become popular across Italy. The new branch aims to cater to pizza lovers seeking a casual meal or a quick snack throughout the day, providing takeaway and delivery options for added convenience.

At the heart of the restaurant lies its Italian-made multi-chambered electric oven, baking thin and crispy pizzas at precise temperatures for approximately 9 minutes. Alice Pizza prioritizes high-quality dough as the key ingredient for their pizzas. With Italian flour, extra-virgin olive oil, and a reduced amount of yeast, their dough is light, crispy, and healthier, and less heavy than its counterparts. Handcrafted and slow-risen for a minimum of 24 hours, it is carefully rolled out and placed in a lightly oiled rectangular baking pan.

The menu includes classic flavors, vegetarian and vegan options, as well as innovative creations. The Traditional range, popular in Italy, features the Margherita, a timeless Naples classic named after the Italian queen. The deliciious Italiana combines tomato, stracciatella cheese, basil, and extra virgin olive oil. The Carbonara is a creamy delight with pasteurized egg, mozzarella, Pecorino Romano cheese, guanciale, and black pepper. For a signature choice, the Mortadella pizza showcases Italian luncheon meat, stracciatella cheese, and pistachio.

Alice Pizza Hong Kong also offers a variety of signature picks, including the Truffle with mozzarella, mixed mushrooms, truffle sauce, and Parmigiano Reggiano cheese. The Parma features aged Parma ham, mozzarella, Italian yellow cherry tomatoes, and rocket. The Rustica combines broccoli, mushrooms, potato, and Parmigiano Reggiano. The Diavola with Ventricina salami, mozzarella, and tomato, as well as the cheesy Gricia with guanciale, mozzarella, Pecorino Romano cheese, and a 4-cheese sauce are also signature picks.

For seafood lovers, there’s the Salmone with smoked fish, tomato, and lettuce, and the Gamberetti with Mazzancolle shrimps, tomato, iceberg lettuce, and mayo. Vegans and adventurous eaters can enjoy the Eggplant with extra virgin olive oil sauce and chili, and the Potato Chips flavored with extra virgin olive oil and rosemary.

Not to be missed is the iconic Nutella Pizza, where the Italian hazelnut and chocolate paste is simply spread on top of the pizza dough, which is sure to delight children and adults alike!

Alice Pizza Hong Kong is set to open its doors on Tuesday, September 12, and will operate from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
