Nestled along the serene shores of Non Nuoc Beach, the Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa is one of Vietnam’s most inviting family-friendly resorts. With its sweeping ocean views, spacious villas, and thoughtfully curated activities for kids and adults alike, this coastal hideaway blends laid-back luxury with the kind of effortless hospitality that makes travelling with children feel like a breeze. Whether you’re craving lazy beach days, cultural day trips, or a bit of pampering at the spa while the kids are off at Camp Hyatt, this resort has every box ticked.
As a mom of three kids under 10, I’m always hunting for that sweet spot—somewhere the kids can run wild with activities while I sneak in a bit of peace (ideally poolside, preferably with snacks). Short getaways are our thing, and good food is non-negotiable—we need options that keep both little tummies and mine happy. So when we checked into this resort, I had high hopes. And guess what? It delivered. Here’s why I think your family will love Hyatt Regency Danang too.

We had the chance to spend a few days in Da Nang, and wow—what a gem. Just a short two-hour flight from Hong Kong (and under three from Singapore), it’s one of those destinations that feels both exciting and easy. Getting to the Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa was a breeze—Da Nang International Airport is only about 35 minutes away, and the resort can arrange transfers starting at VND 1,700,000 one way. We also found local taxis affordable and convenient, with the trip costing about VND 200,000. Vietnam’s e-visa system is efficient, and many nationalities can enjoy a 30-day stay—definitely check the official immigration website to be sure.
Our Ocean View room had a private balcony with sweeping sea views, a cosy daybed, and all the little comforts you’d hope for after a day of travel. The deep soaking tub quickly became our evening ritual, and the space was bright and thoughtfully designed. For larger families or groups, the villas are stunning—private pools, full kitchens, and open-plan living spaces that feel like a home away from home. We loved the family-friendly touches too. Rooms with kitchenettes and large fridges were great for snacks and milk bottles, and the bakery downstairs offered almond, oat, and soy milk options. There were even kid-friendly eats like fresh pasta, bread, and fruit—ideal for fussy eaters or dietary needs. Rooms start around US$200 a night, which feels fair given everything on offer.
Camp Hyatt quickly became the kids’ favourite hangout. Designed for children aged three to twelve, it was packed with crafts, games, and outdoor adventures, with daily movie screenings that gave us a quiet dinner window. Babysitting services are available too if you need more adult time. Older kids had plenty to keep them busy as well. Between arcade games, football and tennis courts, boxing classes, and even a Squid Game-style obstacle course, there wasn’t a dull moment. Our tween got a kick out of the Océane Mocktail Mixology class. The pool situation was a big win too—with a dedicated kids’ pool and mini water slide, plus an infinity pool that gave everyone space. And then there’s the beach—Non Nuoc Beach is steps away, perfect for shell hunts, sandcastles, and saltwater dips.
Dining at the resort was easy, relaxed, and full of variety. Vive Océane, with its beachfront tables and breezy vibe, became our go-to for brunch and sunset dinners. The DIY-style dining—bibimbap, poke bowls, avocado toast—was fresh and fuss-free, and the Kids’ Corner with its chocolate fountain was a guaranteed hit. For poolside meals, Xanh House served up a reliable mix of Vietnamese classics and Western comfort food, perfect for family lunches or easy dinners. We also popped by Baguette bakery often for snacks and caffeine hits—the chocolate waffles were a winner with the kids, while the strong Vietnamese cà phê sữa kept us fuelled. Special experiences like the private beach BBQ and the whimsical Le Petit Chef animated dining show added a touch of fun to our evenings.
With the kids entertained, we managed to squeeze in some proper downtime. Yoga and meditation sessions were a welcome way to start the day, and the VIE Spa—nestled in lush gardens—was a total sanctuary. From traditional Vietnamese herbal massages to familiar treatments, it was a treat, and we loved that they offer kids’ spa options too. The gym was well-equipped, and the hot and cold plunge pools, sauna, and steam room made for a complete recharge. Most nights, we found ourselves at The Lounge with a cocktail in hand, listening to live jazz and soaking up the mellow evening vibe.
Even though the resort was hard to leave, we did head out for a few easy local adventures. Marble Mountain, just a short drive away, offered stunning views and peaceful cave temples. We caught Dragon Bridge’s fire-breathing show one evening, which the kids found fascinating. The Golden Bridge at Ba Na Hills—yes, the one held by giant stone hands—is every bit as striking in real life as it is on Instagram. And a quick 30-minute drive to Hoi An led us to its lantern-lit Old Town, a day filled with charming streets, riverside cafés, and photo ops galore.
What made this trip special wasn’t just the white sand, big smiles, or beachfront cocktails—it was how easy it all felt. The staff were kind and thoughtful, the resort never felt overcrowded, and there was something to keep every age group happy. Whether you’ve got a baby, a tween, or grandparents in tow, Hyatt Regency Danang hits that sweet spot between fun, rest, and connection. We’re already thinking about our next trip—maybe longer, and definitely with more room in the suitcase for beach toys.
