ABOUT HUALI XIONG: Originally from China, Huali holds a BA in English and Literature from Xiamen University and an MSc in Education from the State University of New York. As head of CIS’ Chinese department, she is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the school’s Chinese curriculum together with their pioneering Chinese-English bilingual program which she helped set up in August 2014. Huali has over 30 years of teaching experience and is the author of the Big Apple Chinese Program, a collection of 26 reference books for teachers of Chinese as a foreign and heritage language.
