The best part about cafe hopping in Singapore is that it’s almost impossible to run out of new coffee places to explore! There always seems to be brand new cafes popping up at any given time, each with a theme more unique than the ones before. Just recently, a Japanese railway-themed cafe called Shinjuku Kissa Tetsudo opened at 111 Somerset, and it’s centred around the Japanese railway system.
The cafe experience is meant to make you feel like you’re seated in a Japanese train, complete with train timetables resembling the ones in Japan. The main highlight is their interactive diorama section which you can even touch and play around with!
You will find items like hand-pressed sakura coffees and roll cakes of different flavors on their menu, so you can enjoy a little Japanese treat while admiring the impressive interior.
The cafe has such a cool, quirky concept, and it's executed wonderfully.
People who love Japan, or anyone who just wants to geek out over trains!
The experience is so immersive from start to end that they even give you a personalized train ticket with your assigned seat when you enter the cafe.
