Following an injury in 2013 that caused the loss of the use of his right arm and his ability to work, Paul Tyson began drawing with his non-dominant hand. Using pencil, charcoal, or pen he conveys the characters of his subjects, be they human or animal. His portraits are all the more astounding considering they are done using his non-dominant hand and he did not draw prior to his accident.
