In the Early Years Foundation Stage in Pre-school and Reception, your child will learn by playing and exploring, being active, and through creative and critical thinking, which takes place both indoors and outdoors. “When a child plays they have no fixed agendas, no preconceived objectives that they are trying to cover, and there are no limitations to what they can achieve,” says the school’s Reception Leader, Mrs Robinson.

While your child plays, they’re exploring, hypothesising, experimenting and discovering, giving their little minds a chance to think out complex ideas without really even knowing they’re doing so.
