Good news for KLIA travelers! The long-awaited KLIA1 Aerotrain is finally back and ready to roll starting 10am on July 1, 2025. After years of being offline and extensive testing, the Aerotrain is set to enhance the airport’s efficiency, image, and passenger experience.
KLIA1’s Aerotrain resumes service on July 1, 2025, at 10am!
Located at Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 1 (KLIA1).
Enhances airport service, passenger convenience, and international image.
Three train sets available – two in operation, one on standby.
Carries up to 270 passengers per train with three carriages each.
Shuttle bus service will continue running alongside the Aerotrain.
One train will run during off-peak hours (12am–5am) for maintenance.
Located at KLIA 1, the Aerotrain connects key areas of the terminal and is especially helpful for families with young children or travellers with tight connections. Plus, the existing shuttle bus service will continue operating, giving passengers multiple options for hassle-free movement.
Each train features three carriages and a capacity of 270 passengers, designed for high-volume traffic during peak travel times. During off-peak hours, one train will run while others undergo maintenance, ensuring smooth operation around the clock.
Whether you’re heading off on a family holiday or returning home, this upgrade promises a more seamless journey from the moment you arrive!
