Mid-Autumn is a time of the year when we celebrate the moon and appreciate reunions! The Mid-Autumn Festival is the second grandest Chinese festival after the Chinese New Year. It takes its name from the fact that it is always celebrated in the middle of the autumn season. The day is also known as the Moon Festival, as at that time of the year the moon is at its roundest and brightest. This year, spend this meaningful festival by being a part of Sunway Putra Mall’s Mid-Autumn Festival and walk down the Journey of Lanterns! Capture a vibrant moment with the life-sized lanterns displayed by Malaysia Lantern Art Association in the 60ft Lantern Tunnel surrounded by 1,000 lanterns. While at it, find your zodiac amongst the 12 Chinese Zodiac Lanterns. For more fun, join the arts & crafts workshops and participate in the activities prepared just for you! The festival celebration was in part created in order to promote racial harmony, family bonding as well as to introduce Asia’s cultural festive to the new generations and tourists.
