Up, up and away…to the 55th floor of Two IFC for a hidden treasure! Beat the heat (or the rain) and head to the Hong Kong Monetary Authority’s Information Centre and IFC Observation Deck. It’s open to the public and free! Featuring an exhibition, research library, and stunning views of Hong Kong, there’s plenty to keep kids and adults entertained.
Surrounded by floor to ceiling windows, the space offers spectacular views of Hong Kong Island, the western Harbour and all the way to the Container Port in Kowloon. Shorties can stand next to the window or sit on stools to watch boats move through Victoria Harbour and taxis zip thru Central. Fun!
The interactive exhibition on the Hong Kong Dollar printing process is fun for all. The timeline of the Hong Kong monetary and banking history plus other local and global historical fun facts displayed on the whole length of the main wall is fascinating, but it’s more for adults and older kids. For those who want to learn even more about all things finance related, the research library is stocked ceiling high with magazines and books.
Grab the kids and head up, up, up, to the HKMA!
