These activities last for 2 hours and take place at BALE/Pool Side and will also include a selection of fruit juices.
Would you like to learn Balinese painting?. There are many styles of Balinese painting such as Balinese classical, Ubud style, Batuan style, Keliki style, Pengosekan style, and Kamasan style. The style of Kamasan is famous and based on the east Javanese " Wayang" art. This style is basically two dimensional, iconographic representations following strictly character and status which is seen from the colors used to portray them. Arie Smith is the Western artist who has influenced the style of Balinese painting and the young artists of Penestanan. For US$ 50 net/person the cost will cover refreshment, Namya Club sandwich, canvas, oil oracrylic and a four hours course. This activity will take place at our resort or at Rudana Museum. After finishing the painting lesson you are entitled to get 15% discount from the Spa ala Carte Menu and 10 % discount for the Dinner ala Carte Menu. Reservations are required one day in advance.
In the life of the Balinese ritual ceremony, there is always the Sajen or Offering to God. With the knife and bamboo pins, the Balinese woman creates out of palm leaf an amazing variety of offering components and ritual ornaments for the ceremony. The simple beauty of "Sampian/Canang Sari" is a Palm leaf creation, which decorate the top offering and serve as a base for flower and betel chewing ingredients. Sampian/Canang sari will be placed on the top of "GEBOGAN" or Balinese Fruits arrangement. We would like to invite you to learn the Balinese Palm leaf creation from 3pm to 5pm at the pool side. While you join these activities, refreshment or afternoon tea with Balinese Cake will be serve.
To ensure your experience is more memorable, we suggest you to join Rice Paddy Trekking which is approximately a one-hour trip that can be daily or based on request. One of their staff will host you during this trip. The journey will take you through an intricate pattern of lush green rice paddies and fields of shimmering water through a farmers footpath where you will observe the ancient technique of plugging, planting, irrigating, and harvesting.
