Raw, authentic honey boasts many health-enhancing properties and no wonder many try to seek it out. However, most supermarkets stock only imported honey that cannot offer what only local honey can – help fight local air-borne allergies! Swing by one of the bee farms or local grocers and stock them in time for the flu season!
Notes on visiting Bee Farms:
* Wear light-color clothing; avoid dark-colors especially black unless you want to attract the bees. We would suggest long-sleeves.
* As bees are extremely sensitive to smell, avoid strong perfumes.
* Make sure you move slowly in the bee farm as quick and big movements can also attract bees.
If you’ve visited local markets, you may have seen their memorable packaging – from afar, it looks like a man sporting a really large beard, but on closer inspection, turns out to be a ‘beard’ of bees.
