Bee Farms In The City To Visit
Raw, authentic honey boasts many health-enhancing properties and no wonder many try to seek it out. However, most supermarkets stock only imported honey that cannot offer what only local honey can – help fight local air-borne allergies! Swing by one of the bee farms or local grocers and stock them in time for the flu season!
Notes on visiting Bee Farms:
* Wear light-color clothing; avoid dark-colors especially black unless you want to attract the bees. We would suggest long-sleeves.
* As bees are extremely sensitive to smell, avoid strong perfumes.
* Make sure you move slowly in the bee farm as quick and big movements can also attract bees.

PO SANG YUEN BEE FARM: Fanling
If you’ve visited local markets, you may have seen their memorable packaging – from afar, it looks like a man sporting a really large beard, but on closer inspection, turns out to be a ‘beard’ of bees. Hong Kong’s first bee farm Po Sang Yuen is over 90 years old. The farm's product range has expanded over the years to include honeycombs and pollen capsules. WING WO BEE FARM: Sha Tin
Strategically situated near the Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery, nestled amongst wild flowering plants, Wing Wo has built a reputation since establishment in 1983 for its top-quality raw honey. It was pulled further into the limelight over half a decade ago when the Hyatt Regency began serving up Wing Wo honey in what is deemed Hong Kong’s best Honey Apple Pie, followed by a soft Honey Cake.
