Our recent stay at Angsana Laguna Phuket was a delightful experience for our family of five, including our six month old twins and our energetic three-year-old. Situated 30 minutes from Phuket International airport, Angsana Laguna Phuket is a five-star resort offering a unique family getaway experience with your accommodation wrapping around a lagoon.
There are stroller-friendly pathways winding around the resort with beautiful landscaped gardens. There are also buggies on call for zipping around the resort if the legs need a rest or you need a quick drop off at Bang Tao beach to enjoy nearby beach club, Xana.
We stayed in a Two Bedroom Island Suite with lagoon views and the layout was perfect for our family of five. A spacious living room and separate dining table was well-equipped, providing enough space for everyone. The suite also had a microwave, which was very handy for preparing the babies and kids meals.
A balcony overlooking the lagoon was the perfect spot to enjoy those beautiful Phuket sunsets. The room had all the creature comforts of a five-star property with heavenly soft beds and pillows and in-room dining.
One of the highlights of our stay was the variety of kids' activities offered at Angsana Kids Club. Everyday of the week is filled with daily activities including arts and crafts, pool parties, and cookie decorating tailored for little ones. Kids aged 5 and up can be signed in each day and be unaccompanied; those younger need a guardian. Babysitting services can be arranged too for an additional price.
The Angsana Kids Club was a great space offering a gated playground, indoor soft play and multiple spaces with chill out zones and designated kids spaces for the organised activities. Cup cake decorating was a favorite of 3 year old Sofie. You can also hire bikes should you want to zip around the resort's neighboring areas – it's nice and flat so perfect for a easy ride!

The amenities at Angsana Laguna Phuket are impressive. The resort is beautifully landscaped, with spacious areas for children to explore. Lagoon watersports are available and staff can assist with catamarans, stand up paddle boards, kayaks and cute duck pedal boats. After a good workout on the lagoon we enjoyed dining at Poolside, which offers cocktails, a kids' menu and a variety of cuisines and snacks to satisfy the whole family.
The staff was attentive and friendly, always willing to assist us with any needs we had for our little ones. The resort offers complimentary boat rides around the Lagoon with various drop off points, one being the Canal Village. The village offers restaurants, a wine store, shopping market and convenience store.
The swimming pools were a major hit with our kids. We loved going on adventures in the 300m free form pool and the blow up kids' slide was a hit for hours and hours. The Laguna Pool is especially designed for families and features shallow areas that are perfect for toddlers.
The nearby Poolside service made it easy to grab snacks and drinks while lounging, ensuring we could keep the little ones happy and hydrated. Everyone was happy and comfortable.
Dining was another highlight of our stay. The resort offers a range of restaurants catering to various tastes, from local Thai delicacies to international cuisine. We were particularly pleased with the kids' menus, which featured healthy, tasty options that our children enjoyed. The breakfast buffet at Bodega & Grill was a family favorite with plenty of choices, including fresh fruits, pastries, and made-to-order options too. You felt instantly relaxed because of its poolside location and beautiful Hamptons-style architecture.
The recently-opened Seafood Market restaurant is open for dining from midday. The beautifully designed displayed fish of the day options with bountiful fresh seafood options would satisfy anyone who is a fish lover!
The resort is conveniently located on the white sandy beach of Bang Tao, which was perfect for beach walks and exploring the shore and meant there was no need to jump in a car.
The combination of family-friendly activities, excellent amenities, delicious food options, and a great location made it a perfect getaway for us. We left with wonderful memories and are already planning our next visit!
