Bukit Timah covers a large swathe of land, stretching from the fringes of Little India in the south, trailing through the perimeter of the city centre before ending in the north west of the island. Nature convenes right on its doorstep, with the Botanic Gardens, Bukit Batok Nature Park and the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve being its focal green points. Eclectic shops, cafes and restaurants give the whole stretch a distinct relaxed, bohemian vibe.

Though small in comparison to other malls in the vicinity, Cluny Court is a treasure trove of one-of-a-kind shops and eateries, some of which cater to mums and bubs. Our picks include The Children's Showcase, for toys and kid's clothes from Europe; Ellyloves, a purveyor of high-quality kidswear; and Abrakadoodle Art Studio for Kids, a superb creative outlet for arty farty tots.
