The Kinderland music-infused curriculum is built around the K.I.N.D.E.R. multi-disciplinary lands to help your child learn better and more. Coding was incorporated into Kinderland’s curriculum in 2019, and equips children with the skills they’ll need to thrive in the digital age. It complements Kinderland’s S.T.R.E.A.M. program – Science, Technology, Reading and wRiting, Engineering Arts and Mathematics – where children are engaged in exploration and effective learning through inquiry-based project work.

• Early exposure to coding helps students of nursery to kindergarten levels develop computational thinking and reasoning skills that are essential for a technology-reliant future.
• Coding teaches children how to look at problems and approach them logically. They will learn to decompose problems into small parts and provide solutions through a sequence of instructions.

When Should Children Learn to Code?

• It is not a pre-requisite that children can read and write if they want to learn coding. They learn through play-based approaches to program a robot to navigate a maze or move around objects.
• Kinderland uses age-appropriate introductory programmable gadgets and applications like Dash the robot, ScratchJr and Beebot to facilitate the coding lessons.
• In Kinderland, children’s competencies in gadget awareness, programming, coding play behaviours, and the use of appropriate coding vocabulary are evaluated every semester.
