Steptember With Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore

Walk For A Good Cause

Steptember_2019

Get stepping this September with Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore (CPAS)! For your information, there are 17 million people across the world living with cerebral palsy. Cerebral palsy is a group of disorders that affect balance, movement, and muscle tone. “Cerebral” means the disorder is related to the brain, and “palsy” refers to weakness or a muscle problem. It starts in the area of the brain that controls the ability to move muscles. Cerebral palsy can happen when that part of the brain doesn’t develop as it should, or when it is damaged right around the time of birth or very early in life. Organized by CPAS, Steptember is a fun fitness and charity initiative to raise funds for CPAS’ training, education and therapy services for people living with cerebral palsy. All it takes is 10,000 steps a day for 28 days – from September 3 to 30, 2019! Choose from over 40 activities, wherever and whenever, to count towards your 10,000-step goal. You can swim, cycle, and even attend a yoga class and have the activity converted into steps. While at it, be proud of yourself for creating a powerful voice for those with Cerebral palsy to change their world!

Cost: SG$25 per person. Use the code ‘STEP10’ to register at only SG$10 per person. Visit this website for more information.

What: Create a powerful voice for those with cerebral palsy to change their world by walking at least 10,000 steps a day throughout September!

When: September 3-30, 2019.
