The first and only tropical botanic garden on UNESCO’s World Heritage List, Singapore Botanic Gardens is no stranger to nature lovers. There are many beautiful spots of nature that both children and adults can enjoy within the Gardens. Singapore’s oldest garden is a treasure trove for plant lovers or those who simply want to have a good time outdoors. Highlights include The National Orchid Garden, which boasts the world’s largest orchid display, with over 60,000 plants and orchid plants.

This exhibition features some medicinal plants from Singapore’s rainforest. In addition, contributions made by the gardens to early ethnomedicinal research in the region and current work on the ethnobotany of the jackfruit tree family are featured.

Witness the opening of the Gallop Extension which is an eight-hectare addition to the Singapore Botanic Gardens, bringing the total area of the Gardens to 82 hectares.

Race Against Time – Science Behind a Botanic Garden Tour
This session introduces the research facilities at the Singapore Botanic Gardens such as the Library of Botany & Horticulture, Orchid & Micropropagation laboratory, and the Herbarium.

Visitors can learn about freshwater forest wetland ecosystems at the Keppel Discovery Wetlands and walk amongst a collection of some of the tallest tree species in Southeast Asia at the SPH Walk of Giants.
