ADIAIDA – Malaysia’s First Women Woodworking Workshop

Beginner Friendly!

Women Woodworking Workshop

You know what they say about women woodworkers? They are never just woodworkers. They are often Renaissance women, with many talents and skills—for instance, some are also artists, scientists, songwriters, web designers, and DIY bloggers. At ADIAIDA, they aim to provide a safe space for women from ages 15 and above to come together and learn to use hand tools and power tools by launching what has been called Malaysia’s first Women’s Woodworking Workshop.

Adiaida is run by husband and wife Adi Kamal and Aida Ihsani, who picked up carpentry by watching YouTube videos and believe that with guidance, anyone can build a host of practical items, which last too. The Workshop begins with an Intro Session, where participants learn to build a multipurpose rack or multifunctional stand, before advancing to a Level-Up Session which includes projects like a side table and ladder shelf.

The workshops are all beginner friendly with no experience needed for women.
