    Created in collaboration with the Museum of Anatomy-National University Singapore and the Leiden University Medical Center; the Indonesia Museum of Health And Medicine, also known as iMuseum, provides information on the history of the Indonesian medical journey as well as health education for the visitors. The museum is divided into six main areas: Lobby Area Museum, Medical Education Journey in Indonesia, Health Education, Medical Collection, Edutainment, and Display Windows; all of which contain educational information on different topics.     Kids Friendly Modern And Contemporary Arts Collection In Jakarta

    Museum of Modern & Contemporary Art in Nusantara, or best known as Museum MACAN, is the home of a growing collection of modern and contemporary arts in the country and the world. Currently, the museum displays masterpieces from Basquiat, Andy Warhol, Damien Hirst and Yayoi Kusama, including her Instagram-genic installation "Infinity Mirrored Room". You can sure take the kids and let them have fun at the Children's Art Space.     Kids Friendly Wayang Puppet Museum In Jakarta

    Shadow puppet or wayang is one of local performance arts that have been internationally known and acknowledged by The UN as a precious heritage of Indonesia. In this museum, you can see how diverse this art performed in various areas in the country. The museum owns traditional handmade puppets made from leather, wood and grass along with its instrumental music set, the gamelan. There are also puppets from European countries and other Asian countries, such as China, Cambodia, Thailand and India. A traditional shadow puppet performance is held every twice and third week of the month.

    The Indonesia Kite Museum offers a nice collection of pretty kites from around Indonesia and the world, and makes for a fun family outing! Many of the museum's collections have participated in both national and international kite festivals, and some are even award-winners. The museum is set in a beautiful and leafy area, within a traditional Javanese house. Join a craft session to wrap up your museum journey. Individual and group classes are available in ceramic making and painting, umbrella/shirt/mini shadow puppet/batik painting, and kite making. Your souvenir is your own creation! At the end of the tour, kids are given a chance to make their own kite. They also have a chance to run around the grounds flying their kites!

    Kids Friendly Ships, Navigation Tools, And Indonesian Sea Creatures Museum In Jakarta

    Maritime Museum or Museum Bahari showcases all historical artifacts of Indonesian maritime activities since Dutch colonization. The building was used to be a warehouse for shipping cargo located just beside the legendary Sunda Kelapa Harbour. Now, it is a home of various traditional and modern ships across Indonesia, including navigation tool, anchor, lighthouse replicas and cannons.     Kids Friendly All Things Military Museum In Jakarta

    The museum places an extravagant fort-like building surrounded by the lake. Two traditional ships, Banten and Pinisi Ship, lay on the side of the lake and people are welcome to take a look inside. Moving to the building, visitors are welcomed by 19 displays telling stories about Indonesia's founding fathers fighting for independence since the 7th until 19th century. There are also a line of military uniforms from traditional until modern era. The bronze statues of national heroes are placed in the outdoor area in the middle of the museum.

    Kid Friendly Museum For Traditional Textiles Of Indonesia In Jakarta

    Located in West Jakarta, the textile museum boasts a historical building from the early 19th century. Inside, they keep a collection of traditional textiles and textile equipment from all over Indonesia. In the garden, they cultivate various plants that produce dye colors for textiles.     The Republic of Indonesia’s Police (POLRI) Museum is a nice little museum  located in South Jakarta.     Kids Friendly Chinese Indonesian Heritage Museum In Tangerang Near Jakarta

    Benteng heritage museum is a Chinese Indonesian heritage museum located in Tangerang, just outside Jakarta. The museum building is Chinese style, estimated to have been built in the mid 17th century and is one of the oldest buildings in Tangerang. Inside the museum visitors can learn about how the Chinese first came to Indonesia and how they live amongst the locals while maintaining their traditions.     Kids Friendly Bank Museum In Jakarta

    Formerly a Dutch bank office, the building is now owned by one of the major banks in Indonesia, Bank Mandiri. The museum places an impressive classic art deco-styled architecture that was constructed in 1929. Here, visitors are invited to turn back time and experience the bank activities in olden times. The classic interior and old machinery are still well visible, and you can clearly see the transaction flow inside an old-style bank.

  • NATURE SILK HOUSE (RUMAH SUTERA ALAM)

    Kids Friendly Silk Process Museum In Bogor Near Jakarta

    Located just about an hour drive away from Jakarta, Rumah Sutera Alam is a silkworm farm that gives tours to the public. They have about 2 hectares of mulberry field to feed their silk worms, and a spacious garden filled with collectible plants. Kids especially love feeding and touching the silkworms, and listening to the crunch of the leaves being bitten. In the workshop, they have working manual silk weaving equipment. After a visit, kids will surely have an idea of where some of their clothes come from and gain appreciation for them.

    This museum displays a variety of transportation modes that contain the value of history and its role in nation building. The indoor exhibition is divided into several rooms that seem like a separate building, called a module; it consists of the central module, the module surface, marine modules, and module air, both with original objects, clone, miniatures, photographs, and dioramas. Beyond the static exhibition displays, there are various types of first-generation locomotives Railroad Company Indonesia. In addition there is a lighthouse made in 1879, various types of traditional transportation to entertain the visitors. In-front of the museum we can also see Garuda Indonesia DC-9 static display. Don’t miss the colorful street signs, let the kids learn about shapes, colors, symbols, safety and why following signs is important.

  • INDONESIAN KOMODO FAUNA MUSEUM & REPTILES GARDEN - Temporarily Closed

    If you see a super giant Komodo Dragon in the middle of TMII, then you are in the right direction. Yes, the building was inspired by the only pre-historic dragon living in Komodo Island, Indonesia. Go inside and witness the wildlife treasure of Indonesia. The animals were preserved and diplayed in their original-like habitats. On the museum park, you can watch several living reptiles and amphibians, even interact with them!

  • ELECTRICITY & NEW ENERGY MUSEUM - Temporarily Closed

    This museum is a playground for the little Einsteins! Not only they can gain knowledge about science, but also involve in live demonstrations and games. Visitors are invited to try various tools that allow them learning closely about electricity and energy, such as sun-powered stove, electric bicycle, magic harp and magnet game. The fun still continues outside where you can see how sun light and wind are transformed into energy, as well as sun-powered car.

    Skyworld Indonesia is an interactive and educational museum about space. Come for some star-gazing in the planetarium, an exciting experience in their 5D cinema, and look at displays in their exhibition room.
