Some people say this park is a hidden paradise in Jakarta, a mangrove forest or mangrove natural tourism park, and a nature conservation area which is used for outdoor activities and to showcase the development of Eco-tourism. This tourism park is where you can enjoy the beautiful, comfortable and cool nature. To explore the mangrove forest, you can rent a canoe or a machine boat. There are also several different footpaths for walking around and seeing the mangrove trees. It is about 3-5 minute drive from the toll exit of Pantai Indah Kapuk. It is a good place to experience a bit of nature in Jakarta. Please don’t forget to use mosquito repellant!
There also a children's playground with playhouse, jungle gym, etc., that kids can enjoy. They also provide the forest with a small canteen that sells snacks and refreshments, mosque and rest room. If you want to stay, you can rent a villa to enjoy the mangrove forest more.
Perfect weekend getaway for families! Not recommended for kids below 5 years of age.
Please take a note that it would be better if you do not bring your professional camera (DSLR), they will ask you for extra payment (it’s around US$ 100 for 1 group). There is admission fee for kids and adult IDR 25,000 (local visitors), IDR 250,000 (foreign visitors).
Jl. Pantai Indah Utara No.2, Penjaringan, North Jakarta (It’s not far from Tsu Chi Buddhist Center and Waterboom Pantai Indah Kapuk)
