Looking for a new walking route with views of Victoria Harbour? The East Coast Park Precinct, located on the Fortress Hill harborfront on Hong Kong Island, opened to the public on September 25, 2021. The entrance to the precinct is underneath the Central-Wan Chai Bypass (CWB).
Phase I of the precinct comprises a huge 9,800 square meters of space and provides a new 360-meter waterfront promenade. The space comprises a lawn area, benches, covered areas, a children’s play area, and lanes for biking. The most distinctive feature of the site is the 100-meter long breakwater that stretches into the water, giving visitors nearly 360-degree views of Victoria Harbour from its end.
Amazingly, and so rare for Hong Kong, the precinct is also pet-friendly making it one of the biggest spaces on the island where fur friends are welcome.
Hong Kong Island's harborfront paths have been sorely lacking over the years, and this is a much-welcome addition to the island's East side.
Families, dog walkers, and those looking for a new running route with stunning views to boot.
We can't get over how exciting it is that this huge space is pet-friendly!
