Free Early Environmental Programme For Kids

The latest education programme encouraging children to learn about nature is designed and conducted by Dr. Tanja Sobko, an assistant professor at the University of Hong Kong with expertise in pharmacology, nutrition, healthy lifestyle intervention and sports nutrition. Her programme aims to engage children with nature and the outdoors and to teach them how to take care of the environment as well as encouraging them to lead a green and healthy lifestyle through various outdoor activities.

Courses currently take place in Jordan Valley Park and Ap Lei Chau Park. For updates check the Facebook page or email [email protected].

Why Little Steps Loves It:

Healthy, active kids who spend more time outdoors do better in school and in later life and this programme encourages such behaviour from an early age through fun, interactive activities in, or with exposure to, nature that involve the whole family.

Who It's Perfect For:

The programme aims to promote a healthy lifestyle to children aged between two and five years old, particularly to kids in Hong Kong who often don’t get enough exposure to green space and nature, rarely spending time outdoors and additionally often developing poor eating habits.

What Else:

The classes are free and the programme is comprised of one 45-minute session per week over 10 weeks.
