Stanley Plaza is the perfect destination for families this holiday season as it celebrates its 10th anniversary Christmas event, “Merry Gingermas,” from December 19 to 28, 2025. With the theme centered around ginger—a spice that symbolizes bravery in Cantonese—the event offers a heartwarming mix of activities, markets, and festive fun at Stanley Waterfront Piazza and Murray House. There’s something for everyone in this lively seaside celebration.
The “Merry Gingermas” market boasts over 100 booths, featuring cultural products, handicrafts, and Christmas-themed foods. Families can enjoy returning favorites like Hugo’s Cheese, authentic German cuisine from Biergarten, and gelato from The Nutter Company, while sampling new delights such as Michelin-recommended Fisholi, Be Water Popcorn, and Curry Boy’s signature curries. Nearly 30 food brands, including H.K. Lovecraft craft beer, Perfume Trees Hong Kong gin, and Jacques n Grill’s exclusive ginger-inspired dishes, ensure plenty of treats for all ages.
For a creative twist, visit the “Ginger Gallery” inside Murray House, where Hong Kong artists showcase ginger-inspired artworks. These one-of-a-kind pieces, challenging traditional festive visuals, are available for purchase, with proceeds supporting the Food Angel Foundation to provide meals for those in need. Families can also spread the holiday spirit by visiting the Society for Abandoned Animals’ charity stall at Stanley Plaza, offering curated Christmas gifts to support animals in need.
