World-Cultures-Festival-In-Hong-Kong-2019

The biennial World Cultures Festival is bringing its artistic gems from regions all over the world to Hong Kong. It will be a fantastic showcase of diverse creativity performed through a specially curated program of music, dance, and theatre. This year the focus of the festival is five Nordic countries, and the themes will be marked by themes of inclusivity, culture, and social issues,

The opening performance will be an operative version of Autumn Sonata, originally an iconic film. The performance will be composed by the Finnish Sebastian Fagerland. There will also be “Ghosts” a Norwegian ballet and other fantastic performances on the program.

In addition, a host of inspiring extension activities await, including meet-the-artist sessions, talks, free workshops, exhibitions, and an outdoor carnival. Get ready for a dynamic encounter with a multicultural powerhouse of the arts in all corners of Hong Kong.
