The Great Gatsby makes its much-anticipated return for 8 performances in October, in what was dubbed "a feast for the eyes" during its 2019 sold-out debut. Academy Award winner Tim Yip designed the original art deco sets and costumes which perfectly capture the exuberance of the era. Book your tickets here.
The International Gala Of Stars 2023 will showcase the HKB's premier artists, alongside international ballet starts such as Marianela Nuñez (The Royal Ballet), Victor Caixeta (Dutch National Ballet), Daniil Simkin (Berlin State Ballet), Fang Mengying and Chen Zhuming (National Ballet of China). Family-favorite The Nutcracker returns just in time for the festive season, in a magical reinterpretation showcasing Hong Kong's rich history and characters, which includes a bun tower climbing competition, lion dance and more! The Rule Breakers presents an evening of contemporary works which celebrate some of ballet's most influential choreographers and features William Forsythe’s ground-breaking work, In the Middle, Somewhat Elevated, Andonis Foniadakis’ thrilling world premiere ballet and HKB’s Choreographer-in-Residence Hu Song Wei Ricky’s ravishing The Last Song. The 2023/24 season concludes with one of the year's most anticipated events and the world premiere of Swan Lake from San Francisco Ballet Resident Choreographer Yuri Possokhov. The Royal Ballet's principal dancer Matthew Ball will be joining HKB for this groundbreaking performance. More information to be made available here.
