MICHELIN 2026: Hong Kong & Macau’s Winners Revealed

The 2026 and 18th edition of the MICHELIN Guide Hong Kong & Macau is here, celebrating the exceptional dining scenes of these two culinary capitals. This year, 77 MICHELIN-starred restaurants in Hong Kong and 21 in Macau bring the total to an impressive 98 starred establishments. Across all categories, the guide features 278 restaurants, including 83 Bib Gourmand eateries and 97 MICHELIN Selected entries.

China Tang

New Stars to Watch

In Hong Kong, Cristal Room by Anne-Sophie Pic and L’Atelier De Joël Robuchon have earned Two MICHELIN Stars, while China Tang and Sushi Takeshi debuted with their first MICHELIN Star:

  • China Tang: A sophisticated dining experience blending Cantonese classics with Beijing and Sichuan delicacies, set in a lavish interior inspired by Sir David Tang.
  • Sushi Takeshi: Showcasing exceptional sushi pairing techniques by Chef Kin, who expertly matches fish with his signature vinegar-dressed rice.

In Macau, Don Alfonso 1890 and Palace Garden also joined the One MICHELIN Star ranks, offering Italian and Cantonese culinary excellence.

Fiata Hong Kong

Exciting Newcomers

This year’s guide features 15 new entries in the MICHELIN Selected category, showcasing fresh talent and creativity. Highlights include:

  • Fiata (Hong Kong): A new addition for pizza lovers, serving authentic, perfectly crafted pies.
  • Uncle Quek (Hong Kong): A South East Asian-inspired eatery offering bold, comforting flavors in a casual setting.
  • Dragons’ Den (Hong Kong): A Cantonese gem with flavorful, nostalgic dishes.
  • Sol (Hong Kong): A modern Korean restaurant reinterpreting traditional flavors with contemporary techniques.

Timeless Favorites

Seven Hong Kong restaurants, including Amber, Forum, and Sushi Shikon, retained their Three MICHELIN Stars, while Macau’s Jade Dragon and Robuchon au Dôme remain at the top of their game.

Sustainability & Special Awards

Five restaurants, including Amber and Mora in Hong Kong, retained their MICHELIN Green Stars for eco-friendly practices. The guide also introduced four special awards, such as the Mentor Chef Award, given to Chef Lau Ping Lui of Tin Lung Heen for his contributions to Cantonese cuisine and mentorship.
