Prepare to raise your glass and let loose, because Jean-Pierre, the city’s newest hotspot from Black Sheep Restaurants, is here to redefine group celebrations and unapologetic indulgence in Hong Kong. From its opulent Art Deco interiors to its unabashedly classic French bistro menu, Jean-Pierre is a restaurant that thrives on spectacle, revelry, and good old-fashioned debauchery. Could this be Hong Kong’s new Carbone? Quite possibly.

Named after Marc Hoffman’s father, Jean-Pierre is a homage to a man who may not have been the greatest cook, but was certainly a true bon vivant, a storyteller, entertainer, and host extraordinaire—a spirit that now infuses every corner of this dazzling new space. “For my father, sharing meals was never just about food—it was about entertainment, joy, and unforgettable experiences,” Marc shares. “At Jean-Pierre, we’ve created a space where dining feels generous, communal, and free-spirited.”

Jean-Pierre is a love letter to the golden age of Parisian bistros, a time when living large was the norm and rules were mere suggestions. With room for over 70 guests in its plush dining room, an open-air terrace for starry-night conversations, and a statement cocktail bar that sets the tone for indulgence the moment you arrive, Jean-Pierre is built for gatherings, celebrations, and all-out revelry. Whether you’re clinking glasses at the elegant marble bar or feasting with friends at the centerpiece La Table de Jean-Pierre, this is a restaurant that turns every dinner into a party.

Melissa Collison’s interior design is a study in sensual comfort—dark mahogany furnishings, red velvet banquettes, and walls adorned with artifacts that tell the story of a life well-lived. With its lively atmosphere and personal touches, Jean-Pierre feels less like a restaurant and more like the home of an old friend who throws the best dinner parties in town.

The menu, crafted by rising star Chef John Troupis and Executive Head Chef Matthew Kirkley, is a celebration of timeless French bistro classics. Think Steak Tartare, Boeuf Bourguignon, and Profiteroles, each prepared with unwavering precision and a touch of theatre. Highlights include the Poulet de Simone, a reimagining of classic poulet roti using Hong Kong’s exceptional three-yellow chicken, and the Crêpes Suzette, flambéed tableside for that extra dash of drama.

But Jean-Pierre isn’t just about the food—it’s about the experience. From the conviviality of shared plates to the spectacle of dishes served with flair, every meal here feels like a celebration. And for those who really want to mark the occasion, the Tournée de Jean-Pierre lets you buy a glass of Ayala Champagne for every guest in the house, sparking a collective Santé! for HK$4,888.

At the entrance, Le Bar at Jean-Pierre is every bit as memorable as the dining room itself. With soaring ceilings, an elegant marble bar, and a menu of golden age-inspired cocktails, it’s the perfect spot for pre-dinner drinks or a lively nightcap. Try the Cornichon Martini, a playful signature, or the Café Français, a decadent twist on Irish coffee served with a macaron. Feeling peckish? The bar menu offers indulgences like the JP Burger (only ten served daily) and Croque Monsieur, perfect for pairing with a glass of wine or bubbly.

Jean-Pierre is more than just a restaurant—it’s an invitation to live boldly, laugh loudly, and revel in life’s pleasures. Whether you’re here for a birthday bash, a boisterous group dinner, or just a night of indulgence, Jean-Pierre promises a feast for the senses and a celebration of joie de vivre. As Marc Hoffman and Syed Asim Hussain raise a glass to the man who inspired it all, they invite you to join the party. Because at Jean-Pierre, the rules are simple: eat well, drink deeply, and live large.

Reservations are now open for bookings starting April 29, 2025.
