Starfish, shells, and sand…let’s go!  We have found a haven of beachy bliss that will check all the boxes for your next family fun-in-the-sun outing.  Hoi Ha Wan Marine Park is a protected area in Sai Kung Park and offers visitors a treat for the senses with over 60 types of hard coral and over 120 species of coral fish.  From snorkeling and playing in shallow waters to hunting for treasures, this beach is easy to access and promises loads of smiles.

The Scoop On Hoi Ha Wan Marine Park:

*EASY:  Unlike some of the sister beaches around the area (which we love as well!), this beach is not difficult to access. It’s easy with kids of all ages and does not require a boat. Bonus!

*HIKE:  You could choose to hike from Tai Tan near Wong Shek Pier. It is a moderate hike for slightly older kids, about 6.5 kilometers. Take bus 94 from Sai Kung Bus Terminus going towards Wong Shek Pier, alight at Tai Tan and head to the start of Tai Tan Country Trail.

*PLAY:  During the summer months, the tide is low offering smaller kids access to a giant “kiddy pool” to play in and enjoy. Pop on the floaties and explore.

*EXPLORE:  There are loads of opportunities to meet marine life.  From the gorgeous corals to the starfish (literally everywhere!), the kids can snoop around.

*KAYAK & SNORKELINCLUDING SCUBA DIVING:  No need to bring a thing! Once you arrive, hit up Wan Hoi Rental for a family kayak, life vesta, and snorkel gear. It’s recommended that you bring along a life vest for the little ones.
