MOTHER'S CHOICE: 2024 Student Summer Internship Program

Mother’s Choice works with students (over the age of 16) to identify and achieve meaningful voluntary work experience that offers a glimpse into the nonprofit sector and social work field. They provide wonderful opportunities for students to support the Mother's Choice teams in various programs. During the internships, students will be given a role that supports their needs and reflects their skill set, which could include: research, communications, media support, administrative and program support, IT support, administrative support, children's activities and therapy support. Depending on the project needs, The Student Summer Internship Programs are typically 2-4 days’ work per week for 2-8 weeks.

The time commitment for the internship varies based on its requirements, generally ranging from 1-3 half to full days each week, over a duration of 4-8 weeks. The first batch of interns is scheduled to begin in mid-June, followed by the second batch which will start in mid-July.

JUSTICE CENTER HONG KONG: Young Advocates Summer Camp Program 2024

This Summer, Justice Centre Hong Kong will again provide training to an ambitious group of Young Advocates interested in exploring a career in law and refugee protection. Young Advocates are briefed by lawyers to provide support in real asylum cases, helping to conduct legal research, prepare submissions, and attend client interviews. The program is packed with site visits and external exposure, including international organizations and the legal sector in Hong Kong. Students will receive one-on-one personal coaching and mentorship from highly qualified international lawyers and develop their research, reasoning, and public speaking skills. The YASC is a great way for students to build their legal experience and profile. The deadline for applications is May 26, 2024.

Crossroads Foundation offers internships that provide participants with the opportunity to work alongside individuals from over 20 different nations in an English-speaking setting, enhancing their practical skills across various domains. Interns can engage in a range of roles such as preparing goods for distribution, managing shipping logistics, operating within the fair trade marketplace, providing PC/IT support, working in communications, design, translation, accounting, administration, research, catering, hospitality, and facilitating experiential simulation programs.
