THINGS TO DO IN UBUD: Fun Things To Do With Kids, Babies, Toddlers In Ubud

Take an early morning trip to The Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary located in a small rainforest. Mingle with the cheeky monkeys (in the literal sense! Keep hold of all phones and bags) and witness the ancient temples. Kids will love exploring around this stunning nature reserve with numerous species of trees, many of spiritual significance to the Balinese. Take this great opportunity to shoot some family pictures against the morning light.  Ubud is full of endless opportunities to explore the natural outdoors, including walks through local villages and rice fields. However, the Campuhan Ridge walk is definitely at the top of the list. The picturesque paved walk is filled with lush greenery and hills through jungles and rainforests. Tip: The walk is very exposed and you will find yourself melting very quickly! Avoid the heat by starting the walk as early as you can or head out in the late afternoon to enjoy a cooler stroll.   The Tegallalang Rice Field is the pure epitome of Eat, Pray & Love. For those of you who have not seen this movie, add it to your list of things to do before heading on your trip. Explore the valley of rice paddies that have been carved into the contours of the hillside and form a lush green picture perfect landscape. Kids will love being in the outdoors and running down the winding pathways and along the trickling water. Tip: It can get very hot and humid, so be sure to take water and hats!
