Come here, birdy, birdy! Got a budding (and brave) bird-loving kiddo on your hands? Well, look no further than the Be a Falconer Programme at Jurong Bird Park. Kids can feed, fly and handle some of the park’s birds of prey, including Priscilla, a falcon from India, and Hawk-Eye the Harris Hawk.
Participants get kitted out in a falconer’s vest and glove before they have a brief educational talk covering the Medieval beginnings of falconry. After the kids get their falcon to feel, they are invited to snap photos with these huge birdies. At the end of the fun, all participants receive a falconer certificate and surprise gift.
