Aquaria KLCC is a world-class aquarium that showcases animals and marine life from Malaysia and around the world. Get your camera out! Their Oceanarium has a 90-meter transparent tunnel with a moving walkway to take you past Sand Tiger sharks, Giant Stingrays, Marine turtles and shoals of other fishes. Sign the kiddos up to one of the interactive feeding shows, you can also dive with the sharks and swim with the fish.

Located just 5km out of the city, the zoo is home to 5137 specimens from 476 species of mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and fish. Get your seat at one of the daily animal shows which show off the Sea Lions, Macaques and Macaws. Show times are at 11am & 3pm, 3:30pm (Friday). You can also get your photo taken with a snake or one of the many birds. They will even bring out some tame animals such as Spotty the python and Megat the hornbill for a special photography session! It's time to burn off some energy and have some fun! Just nearby is the Puteri Harbour Family Theme Park, comprising of Hello Kitty Town, Little Big Club and Lat’s Place where you can enjoy rides, shows, interactive play zones all under the air-conditioned roof! Kids will love singing along to a Barney show, riding on Thomas the Tank Engine or helping Bob the Builder build a house. When they’ve worked up an appetite head to Lat’s Place.

If you love the Angry Birds game, you will love the park just as much! The state of the art activity park offers a wide variety of fun games and attractions for toddlers, kids, and parents alike. Opening hours are from 10am to 10pm daily. There are five main areas, Danger Zone, Utopia, Classic, South Beach and the Angry Bird Shop.

Let's go caving! An iconic and popular tourist attraction in Selangor, Batu Caves is a limestone hill that is home to temples inside caves! The temples attract thousands of Hindu worshipers and tourists each year, especially around the Hindu festival of Thaipusam. While you're there, keep an eye out for the monkeys jumping between the trees. Keep an eye on your belongings and your lunch! Be prepared to walk a while too.

The journey takes around 40 minutes. Note that the temple closes at 7pm (dark cave at 5pm) and it is closed all day on Mondays. There are plenty of food options for lunch at the bottom - enjoy!
If you like bugs this park is for you! A secret space tucked away within the Perdana Botanical Garden, this is one of the world's largest butterfly parks. The Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park has over over 5,000 varieties of butterflies, exotic plants and ferns that will enchant you and your kids. Within this park are Japanese koi fish, fresh water turtles, live insects and a museum with a large collection of butterflies and insects from around the world.

Set within the Kuala Lumpur Lake Gardens, this park is home to more than 3,000 birds and 200 species of local and foreign birds. Many of the birds are able to fly in their natural habitat and all around the aviary allowing the birds to breed in their own way. Bring the binoculars and let the kids go birding for a day! It's time to soar.
