Hong Kong Surfing and SUP Association provide classes and training for beginners through specific instructor programs. The Hiwindlover Water Sports Centre was established in Stanley over 40 years ago. Hiwindlover offers a very reasonably priced stand-up paddleboard rental service starting from HK$80/hour. If you are new to the sport, why not try a one-hour beginner course to get you started. For those more interested in extending their SUP experience, Hiwindlover also offers SUP Yoga.

Another option for those close to Stanley Beach is Hong Kong Aqua-Bound Centre. The centre offers rentals, lessons, tours and a beach party for any confident swimmer over the age of 8. Their instructors offer the highest level of instruction, take safety measures and strive to develop environmental education, water safety and leadership skills for all. A beginner session includes gear rental, a one-hour lesson and a one-hour tour around Stanley and is priced from HK$450 per person for a group class.

We love Treasure Island Beach Club for so many reasons, one of them is the beach and water sports rental services. Catch a ferry to Mui Wo and make your way up to Pui O beach without the hassle of packing loads of beach equipment. The cost of renting a stand-up paddleboard is priced from HK$100/hour. Over on Lower Cheung Sha Beach, Long Coast Seasport offer rental, lessons and tours. Lessons are offered either one-on-one or in a group and all the equipment is provided. A half-day (4 hours) rental for the stand-up paddleboard will cost HK$270. An adventure tour can enhance the SUP experience through rock-hopping tours or surfing experiences. Island Paddle provides individual and group lessons and yoga sessions from Stanley Main Beach. The company was created by two fitness and ocean enthusiasts who are both highly trained in multiple water sports and yoga.
