    Mong Kok remains one of the best and most diverse districts to go for food in the 852! From dim sum, dai pai dong, and Korean fried chicken to American comfort food, you can find anything.

    • One Dim Sum - A classic spot where you can get all the dim sum favorites at an affordable price, from the classic siu mai to the egg custard bun favorite. Make sure to get there early if you want to avoid queuing.
    • Kedai Kopi Semua Semua - You don't have to fly out of Hong Kong for some authentic Malaysian food! For that Penang laksa craving, they serve an amazing bowl. Do make sure to order some Beef Rendang and some Nasi Lemak. Prices are also amazingly affordable.
    • Dignity Kitchen - What makes this restaurant stand out is that it employs disabled and disadvantaged individuals, making this a very inclusive place to dine in. Their food is also delicious as it serves up some amazing Singaporean hawker-style cuisine. You don't have to fly out to have some yummy Hainanese chicken or some Shrimp Laksa.
    • House 000 Bistro - A very cool European restaurant with some fun decor and fun items on the menu to choose from! We love their signature steak, classic carbonara, and salmon avocado tartare! Make this your next fun date night.
    • Graceland - If you are craving for some Southern American food, this is the place to be. A very laid back restaurant where you can order some "SOUL FOOD" like fried chicken, chicken and waffles, smash burgers, and make sure to have some peach cobbler. They've also got a great selection of draft beers and a fun happy hour. This is a fun place to check out with a fun group.
    • Ladies' Street Sik Faan Co. (Pictured) - Mong Kok is the best spot to have some dai pai dong eats! Order some Hong Kong favorites, from sweet and sour pork to razor clams. Best to come with a large group. Come for the food, stay for the vibes. The nostalgic decor makes this place fun and Instagrammable.
    • Mala Hotpot - Come here if you like things hot and spicy. Now, if you're not a fan of spice, you can also adjust the spiciness to be less stressful on the taste buds. Hotpot fans, grab your friends and order some of their signature mala pot and add on some stir-fried seafood, veggies, and meat to throw into your pot. This place also has super affordable lunch sets where you can order a soup base + 3 toppings (starting from HK$68 and up).
    • Ming Court - An award-winning Cantonese restaurant led by Chef Li Yuet-Faat. A great place if you're looking for that elevated fine dining experience in the middle of busy Mong Kok! Enjoy the likes of shrimp dumplings, honey-glazed char siu, soups, and seafood, which are a favorite.
    • Shinko - This restaurant serves up some awesome Japanese izakaya vibes. They are known for their mouth-watering pork cutlet and sukiyaki beef tongue. Make sure to also get some of their skewer sets if you're looking for something fun and of course, beers and sake!
    • SKY726 - A contemporary French restaurant that's got views of Mong Kok (a great spot for date night!) plus a very colorful menu. Head over during lunch time for a super affordable set lunch menu (prices start from HK$78) or come back for dinner for a fun evening and make the most out of their four-course set dinner (starts from HK$468). Our à la carte favorites include their 21-day dry-aged sirloin and Angus beef burger. Vegetarians will also love their beetroot risotto!
    • Twins Liangpi Limited - A Bib Gourmand winner, where you can find some Sichuan meals. If you love noodles and spice, make sure to give this place a visit.
    • Yadllie Plate - Satisfy those Korean fried chicken cravings here at Yadllie Plate. A great restaurant to start that fun night out with some amazing Korean food, pork platters (amazing to share with large groups), beer and soju!

    • The Garage Bar - A fun, quirky outdoor food truck located in the Cordis Hotel that's got beers and burgers. An amazing location to chill with pals, and if you're visiting Hong Kong, a great escape from a long day of shopping!
    • J. Moon Lounge - A beautiful Luna-themed spot to hangout with the girls or that special someone. Drinks are immaculate as cocktails are named after star signs (Gemini and Taurus are their signatures) making this mega-astrologically fun. And yes, they've got food too!
    • Moona Lounge & Bar - A chill spot where you can grab cocktails, fun bites and if you're into shisha, they've got a great menu for it too! Take advantage of their fun Happy Hour Set that includes 1 shisha, 2 drinks and a snack platter for HK$438.
    • Reflect Rooftop Bar & Restaurant - Drinks with a view! A great laid-back location where you can order food and cocktails.
    • Zhangmen Brewing Company - A popular Taiwanese craft beer taproom that's got about 20 taps of Taiwanese-brewed craft beer from IPAs, stouts, and tea beers. This bar has been around since 2017, making this a very popular spot. Make sure to order some of their Taiwanese-style bar snacks, too!
    • The Trafalgar Brewing Company - You don't have to head to Wan Chai to hangout at a British pub. This space is also just as spacious and lively as its first venue. A great location for beers (happy hour offerings are amazing!) while watching some live sports with the group.

    Where To Go For A Coffee In Mong Kok

    Adding to the colorful neighborhood of Mong Kok are its amazing spots to go for coffee. Come check out these amazing cafés - many are pet-friendly, study-friendly, bringing a whole lot of character to this amazing area.

    • Poach - A pet-friendly café that is well known for its Earl Grey Mochi pancakes, signature Poach bento, and roasted beans. It is very spacious, also making it a great location for a study session or a catch-up with the friend group. It is also located on a super cool rooftop!
    • Urban Cafe - A hip, cat-themed cafe, and yes, cats do roam around freely! They've got a great selection of food, drinks-wise they've got scented tea, smoothies, chocolate drinks, and coffee. A great spot to also come with kids! Walk-ins are welcome, but it's best to check and make a booking if you're planning to go on the weekend.
    • Pause It - Pause It offers specialty coffee as its beans are mostly from Ethiopia and Colombia, making your brews extra special. They are also known for their fun, colorful lattes such as the crowd favorite charcoal latte, purple taro latte, and the red velvet latte. Let's also not forget the cute latte art you'll get when you order a cup (apparently, you can also sign up for latte art classes!).
    • Knockbox Coffee - We've heard that this spot is for the coffee-obsessed, passionate individuals, with their own little community. Baristas have won competitions, and the owners are passionate. They've got weekly events such as their famous Coffee Premiere event, where they debut new roasts, where everybody gets to sample them and talk about them with other participants. A very unique cafe in the heart of Mong Kok!
    • Black Coffee - For a moody location, surrounded by black-coloured interiors, this perfect spot is for that great escape from the noisy streets of Mong Kok. Their menu is also one to look out for as they've got bites (some might be black-themed), desserts, and cocktails! Their charcoal black sesame coffee is their signature, and their dirty tiramisu is something you shouldn't miss.

    Head over to the likes of Ladies Market, Dundas Street, and Fa Yuen Street, and you'll see why Mong Kok is a premier Hong Kong destination for street food. From siu mai to egg waffles, here are some of our favorites!

    • Ladies Market - Aside from clothing bargains, make sure to stick around for some legendary street food! They have a major dai pai dong and cha chaan teng culture where you can find food spots in the sides and alleys, but if you're looking for some quick grab-and-go street food bites, this is the perfect spot to be.
    • Fei Jie - One of the best street stalls in Mong Kok, known for their skewers, Octopus, squid, cuttlefish balls, soy-marinated snacks and many more famous street snacks. Make sure to throw in some sweet sauce, chili if you're into it, and maybe pair your snacks with a nice lemon tea.
    • Fishball Gor - Aside from all kinds of fishballs and siu mai, here you can find the classic "Three Treasures," which is a combination of items such as green bell peppers, eggplant, tofu, sausages, etc. Pick 3, and they'll fill it up with special paste and fry it to perfection. They've also got cart noodles, cheung fun, and all the classics.
    • Mong Kok Cooked Food Market - A bustling, vibrant atmosphere that shows what Hong Kong food culture is about! You'll find stalls, dai pai dongs, congee, seafood, and almost everything you can think of when it comes to finding local street food eats that is also very affordable.

    There's always something for everybody in Mong Kok and it just gets quirkier on every street. You can shop for almost anything - souvenirs, clothes, accessories, skincare, sportswear, sneakers, flowers and even small pets and goldfish, there's just so much going on!

    • Ladies Market - A vibrant night market with an array of goods from clothing, accessories, toys, luggage and more. A great place to practice your haggling skills and leave with amazing bargains.
      • You can get there through different exits from Mong Kok station but B3 is the closest. Head over to Tung Choi Street when you get out.
    • MOKO - A large, 7-story family-friendly mall in the Eastern side of Mong Kok. It is connected to the Royal Plaza Hotel offering diverse dining options, shopping as well as its own IMAX cinema.
    • T.O.P. Mall - A shopping mall where you can see more of the young crowd gathered as its got a bunch of boutique shops, collectibles, make-up and more. You'll also find plenty of cheap food stalls and a basement food court.
    • The Forest -  An eco-conscious, sports-themed shopping mall close to Sneaker Street. Here you can find a great refreshing selection of sports and outdoor brands.
    • Sneaker Street - Sneaker heads know this is the place to be. It's an entire street dedicated to sportswear and almost every sneaker brand in the world. You'll also be able to find some great deals and amazing designs.
    • Flower Market - Located on Prince Edward just a corner from MOKO Mall, is a special area where streets are lined up with shops selling flowers and plants. Make sure to also hop over to Yuen Po Bird Park for a little break and check out the different kinds of birds in the garden.
    • CTMA Centre - A great shopping spot where you can find amazing Korean skincare shops, boutiques and a fun floor where you can find a great selection of photo booths for some fun with friends.
    • Goldfish Market - Another fun, unique street in Mong Kok and the name says it all - everything here is all about fish! On top of live fish (different kinds!) you can also find shops that sell hamsters, frogs or turtles.
    • The Langham Place Mall - If you're looking for the ultimate shopping destination where you can find a bit of luxury, international brands and a great selection of restaurants, this is a great mall for you to visit.
    • Sino Centre - A popular destination for collectibles, toys, anime, manga, comic books, CDs, K-Pop fans and more. Although this is not the best spot for those that hate crowds and for claustrophobes, but always worth a visit! You'll find amazing deals and most likely find items that you can't find anywhere else in the city.
    • Shanghai Street - A revitalized culture spot known as a trading hub for Chinese goods and services. Back in the day you'll see Qipao tailors, pawn shops and even Feng Shui fortune tellers.     Staying in Mong Kok allows you to be the centre of all its energy as well as making it convenient for those that plan to spend a large amount of time shopping and exploring the area.

    • Cordis - A 5-star, Michelin-recommended hotel that boasts about 665 guestrooms and suites. It also has an impressive collection of over 1,500 contemporary art pieces found all over the hotel. A truly luxurious stay if you plan to stay in the heart of Mong Kok!
    • Royal Plaza Hotel - A 5-star Luxury hotel situated at the top of Mong Kok East station and directly connected to Moko Mall. Rooms are very spacious, plus a 50-yard thermostatic outdoor pool (pictured), making this also an amazing hotel for staycations!
    • Metropark Hotel - A 3-star hotel with about 430 renovated modern rooms that's located not too far from Ladies Market and Langham Place. Prices are affordable, quite spacious and have a great family room for larger groups. The hotel boasts a fun coffee shop - a perfect way to start your day.
    • Hilton Garden Inn - A 4-star modern hotel with spacious rooms and has an amazing rooftop pool making it a fun getaway for the kiddos!

    Mong Kok is known for its culture and vibrancy and amidst its highly-dense area, popular shopping and eatery spots, there's always something unique that you can find in every corner of this district.

    • Hunt For Remaining Neon Signs - Photographers particularly find Mong Kok as a haven for street photography and whilst many of the traditional ones have been demolished, there's still a few that can be found. Best to head over at night!
      • Head over to Chang Sha Street, Portland Street and Fa Yuen Street to find some of the last few signs
    • Lui Seng Chun - An iconic four-storey old Chinese tenement building that was built in 1931 and now a Grade I historic monument. It is now known for its beautiful exterior architecture and as well as a Chinese medicine centre operated by Hong Kong Baptist University.
    • Chi Ming Mahjong Shop - A hidden gem where you can shop for mahjong tiles, may it be custom or hand-carved. A very rare thing to find in the city nowadays!
    • Yuen Po Bird Park - A traditional, Chinese-style park designed as a specialized market for bird enthusiasts. Many people (particularly the elderly) bring their pet birds and cages and simply hang around the area.
      • Yuen Po Street, Prince Edward (right around the corner of Flower market), Kowloon,
    • Flower Market - Located on Prince Edward just a corner from MOKO Mall, is a special area where streets are lined up with shops selling flowers and plants.
    • Goldfish Market - Another fun, unique street in Mong Kok and the name says it all - everything here is all about fish and small pets.
