Nestled on private Seragaki Island, just a short drive from the island of Okinawa, Hyatt Regency’s new Seragaki Island Okinawa is a stunning seaside retreat. Located off the west coast of Okinawa, Seragaki Island offers sand, sea and sunshine, and is the perfect starting point to explore the rugged landscapes of the Yanbaru area, or the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Okinawa’s center and south.
The hotel is not far from the Bios no Oka subtropical forest, the Okashi Goten sweets factory, the Ryukyu Mura theme park, and the scenic Cape Manzamo either. Closer to home, within the resort, guests can enjoy the hotel’s waterfront surroundings and crystal clear waters, not to mention the resort’s six dining outlets which include Japanese cuisines and an Italian trattoria as well as a Beach Bar. The resort has its own self-discovery and wellness programme, curated by free-diving world record holder, Sayuri Kinoshita, with activities on offer including diving, morning and sunset yoga, karate and much more. For a more relaxed alternative, a selection of treatments is available at Spa Hanari and the option is always there to enjoy the hotel’s outdoor pool or the water views that are on offer from each of the 320 guest rooms.
As well as the 320 guest rooms, there are 24 beach house rooms on offer which are located in a three-storey building across from the main hotel. These are great for families or those wishing to stay longer.
The perfect Japanese island sunshine vacation, especially with the whole family in tow.
The kids will love Camp Hyatt, too, best suited to children aged between 3 and 12, and which has a range of activities on offer, from arts and crafts to beach entertainment to local Ryukyu traditions and culture classes.
