This year Esplanade moves beyond the physical confines of their lovely ‘Durian’ to reach children of all ages and needs, be it at home, in school, or with their friends in student care centers in Singapore. Octoburst!– A Children’s Festival, if offering children a series of fun free-to-access digital programs from October 5 – 18, 2020, the programs focus on four categories: Music, Theatre, Dance, and Talk.

The Putu Piring Incident of Batu Bulat: This work by Adib Kosnan was created in the 2018 edition of Octoburst! to encourage empathy, active listening and compassion amongst its audience members.

Beats & Doodles: Enjoy the process of listening and doodling without the worries of finishing or “getting it right.” Snap a video of the doodle with the music running in the background, whether unfinished or finished, and tag #beatsdoodles and #octoburst2020 on Instagram.
