Kids, parents, and seniors can all look forward to more digital resources from the National Library Board (NLB) during the extended COVID-19 Circuit Breaker period, including the school holidays. More popular books have been uploaded for kids and also enhanced home-based learning materials specially curated by our senior librarians. Moms and Dads will also be able to read about the world at their fingertips, with free access to eight local newspapers and exciting new foreign current affairs magazines.
School Holiday Activities
1. ‘Kids! Skip the Line!’ collection of books, which are specially selected copies of titles set aside for immediate borrowing.
2. Resources for Home-based Learning like ‘The News Gallery’, ‘Ace Your Project Work’
3. Digital storytelling sessions, common topics for conversations, tips for parents as well as DIY activities for kids to get curious, learn, and tinker together. Teens can also explore bite-sized DIY and S.T.E.A.M. activities, tips for well-being, fun challenges, and suggested reads. Visit www.nlb.gov.sg/discovereads for more information.
