Families, get ready to unleash your inner monsters! Monstrous Fun! is back with a roar, bringing you three days of creative chaos and beastly adventures from 30 May to 1 June 2025. Hosted at The Arts House at The Old Parliament, this year’s event is packed with exciting activities for children aged five and up. Dive into the fun with these must-do highlights:
Monster Parade (New!): Dress up in monstrous costumes, grab your handmade instruments, and join the first-ever Monster Parade led by resident monster Britney.
Drum-A-Story Workshop: Groove along with jazz legend Louis Soliano, who will bring rhythm and imagination to life in a special drumming workshop.
Interactive Musical Performance: Bounce to the beat in Bimbang and the Curios Trunk, a new musical experience inspired by Southeast Asian tales, presented by Open Score Project (OSP).
Monster Hunt X SOTA: Uncover hidden clues and secret spots in this epic treasure hunt designed by students from the School of the Arts (SOTA).
Community Art Installation: Contribute a doodle or message to A Message to My Little Monster and watch the lawn transform into a giant outdoor artwork.
Book Fair: Discover literary gems in English, Chinese, Malay, and Tamil, featuring titles from Crimson Earth and Pepper Dog Press.
