Want to know more about CIS’ kindergarten program? Bring your child along for a fun morning of educational family activities at the Maths, Literacy, STEAM and Active Art zones on November 11 at Lakeside & November 12 at Tanjong Katong. Parents can also chat with principals and teachers about the school’s inquiry approach and how purposeful play is a powerful tool in early childhood education. Keep a lookout for CIS’ new kindergarten wing, due to open at Lakeside in mid-2022. Facilities will include an Outdoor Discovery Centre, learning pods, black box theatre, and a learn-to-swim pool.

CIS is giving prospective parents the chance to meet with its new Lakeside Primary principal, Dr. Colleen Drisner at the Kindergarten Open House. Formerly the head of student support and wellbeing at CIS, she is well-versed in helping children learn how to learn through an inquiry and play-based approach. With 27 years experience in international education, she has recently completed a doctorate in educational leadership and strongly believes that student wellbeing is at the core of learning.
