Nurturing Young Minds
Following the directives set out in the English National Curriculum, the Alice Smith Early Years Curriculum aims to create wonder and joy for curious young minds.
To best serve children in Pre-school and Reception (3 -5 years), all class teachers are qualified in Early Years education and highly experienced practitioners within the early years age phase.
They provide a personalised curriculum for every child, flexible enough so that teachers can follow your child’s unique needs and interests.

Encouraging Exploratory Play
Alice Smith strongly believes in the importance of exploratory play, and that unstructured and structured play is important for every child’s development. Play builds imagination and creativity and improves literacy.
Play also encourages greater independence. Last but certainly not least, play promotes physical fitness!
To underline their commitment to exploratory play, Alice Smith provides daily lessons in PE, music & movement and swimming.

A Tranquil Environment
The beautiful, calm environment at Alice Smith School is the perfect backdrop to learning. Your preschooler will have fun exploring two dedicated outdoor play areas, and play games in the discovery garden.
They can also keep an eye out for insects, birds and flowers on the nature trail!
